U.S. Chapters: Raise Awareness with Exhibit
The Global Youth Murals on Tour is in full swing! Fifteen murals are on their way to PTPI's Sheboygan, Wisconsin Chapter. Thank you to PTPI's El Dorado County, California Chapter for hosting the murals during January.
We need additional U.S. Community Chapters to host the murals during June and July. Global Youth Murals on Tour is an opportunity for your chapter to raise awareness and funds for your chapter, while displaying remarkable artwork created by school children around the world. By signing up for this initiative, your chapter will receive 15 murals to display for one month. Then, your chapter will mail the murals to the next host chapter. Visit our online gallery of murals to see what is in store. Please contact classroom@ptpi.org for guidelines and registration information.

PTPI’s Bogota, Colombia Chapter was pleased to receive a letter confirming its participation in the Brazil 2010 Homeless World Cup. The Homeless World Cup is an annual tournament that promotes social integration through football (soccer) and creates fresh, inventive solutions to end homelessness and poverty worldwide. The Bogota Chapter played an instrumental role in the 2008 tournament in Melbourne and has sponsored a homeless women's team to compete for the past two years. If you would like to assist the chapter in supporting this program, please email bogotacolombiaptpi@yahoo.com.

PTPI’s Trenton, New Jersey Chapter undertook its first humanitarian project, which included the procurement and assembly of school supplies in support of the PTPI-administered program Operation International Children. The chapter's project launched on September 24. Chapter members gathered February 20 to assemble the kits, which totaled 500! The members also raised an additional $2,300 USD in monetary donations. The project will conclude in late February with the shipment of the kits to the OIC Warehouse in Kansas City, Missouri, after which they will be sent to Iraq or Afghanistan and distributed to children there.
To support OIC with a shipment of supplies or a donation, visit www.operationinternationalchildren.org.
